Star Maker - The Story of the Daytona 500

Halifax Historical Museum - 252 S. Beach St., Daytona Beach. 'Star Maker ~ The Story of the Daytona 500' is the theme of the current changing exhibit at the Halifax Historical Museum in Daytona Beach. Marvette Panch Bagwell has loaned a portion of her father's immense racing collection to the exhibit including the stunning 1961 Daytona 500 trophy. Museum Director Suzanne Heddy said 'Because this is such an important and timely exhibit, we decided to extend it until July 5th.' The Daytona 500, set for February 17, is the 50th running of the 'Great American Race.'

This exhibit is scheduled for January 5 to July 5.

Hours: Tuesday - Saturday 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Phone 386-255-6976. Admission: $4.00 adults, $1.00 children 12 and younger, admission by donation on Thursdays and children free on Saturday. www.halifaxhistorical.org.
