Beach Racing Day
February 24, 2012
Visit us for our annual Beach Racing Day. See beach racing cars and talk with former drivers, owners and mechanics who were there. Take photographs and get autographs. Included in the cost of regular admission, no advance reservations required. Rain date is Saturday, February 25. Regular admission to the lighthouse museum is $5 for adults (12 years and older), and $1.50 for children. The Ponce Inlet Lighthouse is located at 4931 South Peninsula Drive, Ponce Inlet. Open from 10am with last admission to the grounds at 5pm. Call 386-761-1821 ext 18, for more information.

Daytona International Speedway - The "The Great American Race," NASCAR's biggest, richest and most prestigious motorsports event with the world-renowned U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds providing race fans with the flyover during the National Anthem. The Thunderbirds flyover will feature six F-16 Fighting Falcons, the Air Force's premier multi-role fighter aircraft, soaring over the speedway at the moment the final notes of the Star-Spangled Banner are sung.

Climb to the Moon - Ponce Inlet Lighthouse

5:30 pm to 7:30 pm - Come experience spectacular views of the sunset and moonrise from atop the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse. Enjoy panoramic views of the ocean, inlet and inland waterways by the light of the full moon. Join the old lighthouse keeper as he leads you on your journey into the past and discover the unique history of this National Historic Landmark. Toast the setting sun with sparkling cider and hors d'oeuvres provided by Inlet Harbor Restaurant. This special event is limited to 25 participants. Tickets must be purchased in advance by calling Mary at (386) 761-1821 ext. 10.
