Delta Begins Nonstop Service to NYC
On February 14, Delta
Air Lines began daily nonstop jet service between Daytona Beach
International Airport and New York's LaGuardia Airport. The
flight departs New York's LaGuardia Airport at 9:30 a.m. and
arrives in Daytona Beach at 12:24 p.m. The return flight to
LaGuardia departs Daytona Beach at 1 p.m. and arrives at LaGuardia
at 3:29 p.m. The new, daily nonstop service is provided by Delta
Connection Carrier Comair using a 76-passenger CRJ-900
aircraft.
AirTran Airways Launches
Weekend Nonstop Service to Baltimore/Washington
On February 9, AirTran Airways began nonstop Saturday and Sunday
jet service between Daytona Beach International Airport and
Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. The
new, nonstop service is being offered on a seasonal basis for the
winter and spring seasons with no ending date established at this
time. The Saturday and Sunday flights depart Baltimore/Washington
at 1:30 p.m. and arrive in Daytona Beach at 3:32 p.m. The return
flight departs Daytona Beach at 4:15 p.m. and arrives at
Baltimore/Washington Airport at 6:15 p.m.
