Fall is finally here—and it just so happens to be one of the best times to visit Daytona Beach! We’ve got great weather and plenty of events and attractions to enjoy.

Just read on to see a few key highlights.

Relax on the beach

Summer may be over, but The World’s Most Famous Beach is as beautiful as ever! Our beloved shoreline is easy to enjoy all year long—in fact, during fall, cooler temps and lower humidity make it an especially comfortable escape. Take a walk in the cooler sand, or set up camp for a family picnic. Be sure to snap a few photos to share with your family at home! What we lack in fall foliage, we more than make up for in stunning ocean views all season long.

Pick a pumpkin (and more!)

While fall in Florida is a one-of-a-kind experience, we still have many seasonal staples to enjoy! For example, you and the whole family can enjoy pumpkin-picking at One Daytona from October 8th – 13th, in addition to a petting zoo, pony rides, fall games and more! The Daytona International Speedway and plenty of shops and restaurants are located right nearby, so you can craft the perfect fall day with ease.

Discover local wildlife

The Daytona Beach area is home to a wide variety of wildlife, many of which tend to travel down during the fall and winter months to escape cold weather up north—perhaps just like you! As we progress into fall, be sure to stop by the Halifax River (or even hop aboard a boat) and see if you spot any manatees. You can even venture a little farther inland to see them at nearby springs, such as Volusia County’s Blue Spring State Park.

The sea turtle is another majestic animal who calls Volusia County waters “home” at this time of year. Through Halloween, “sea turtle season” sees these one-of-a-kind creatures coming ashore to lay their eggs, which then hatch and crawl into the water to begin their journey. It all happens in the dark of night, but there is a way for you to see some of these sea turtles! Visit the Marine Science Center in Ponce Inlet, where visitors can watch sea turtles be cared for from the Turtle Terrace.

Usher in the season with homemade treats

Fall is all about warm, homey flavors and traditions. Enjoy one of ours at Perry’s: complimentary homemade donuts, served up fresh every day!

Play Congo River Golf

This premier mini golf destination, located just a short walk away from Perry’s, offers family fun all year long—and during fall, it’s the perfect way to enjoy a cool, sunny afternoon.

Enjoy a high-octane Daytona Beach tradition

We’re just a few weeks away from the thrilling, high-octane Daytona Beach tradition that is Biketoberfest! The fun begins on October 17th as more than 125,000 motorcycle aficionados cruise into town for live music, racing and more. Even if you’re not a motorcyclist yourself, it’s a local adventure you won’t want to miss out on!

Get your festival on

In addition to Biketoberfest, there are many fall festivals to enjoy in the months ahead! From the Halifax Art Festival on the river (November 2nd – 3rd), to the Greek Festival (November 7th – 10th) and Daytona Turkey Run (November 28th – December 1st), there’s so much to look forward to. Stay tuned to Perry’s as we keep you up-to-date on the events ahead.

These are just a few great ways to enjoy Daytona Beach this fall! Come visit us and make Perry’s Ocean Edge Resort your home away from home. Whether it’s for a weekend or a few weeks, we’re here to help make this an unforgettably fun fall.
